never use copy grips they can cause serious damage to an expensive dslr. Why would you want to risk your camera. I have experienced copy grips first hand I used a copy on a nikon d300 I attached it to the camera and smoke started pouring from it, Never again !!! just not worth the risk.

I like the "metal alignment pin",...I have a BG for my D500,...and one of the "plastic" alignment pins broke off! :-(

When I connect my instructor(monitor) (in HDMI) to my Sony A7S II and when I wish to post(show) the information of the Sony on the screen of the instructor(monitor), the image is very small and does not occupy all the screen. How sturdy is the one from meike over time? Is there lots of space between camera & grip? Iam thinking about getting one for my d7200. Also, what about weather proof / sealed?

nothing beats the Nikon grip the third party grips are always having problems such as build quality, fit and finish, crappy wheels, crappy fittings and electrical issues, not worth using them i purchased one for a D300 connected the thing a few seconds later smoke started pouring out the grip, luckily no damage to the camera , i learned my lesson that day.

You need to weigh down the tripod legs. It will make everything much more solid when using the slider.
